Opening on Leatherhead High Street — grand opening 12 June

Sea & Seeds

Our story

Two cravings, one shop.

A proper fish & chip shop and a fresh falafel bar under one roof — because Leatherhead High Street was missing both.

How we got here

We’re local, and we know food. As established tenants of the Dukes Head and after years in the food trade, we kept noticing the same gap on Leatherhead High Street: there was nowhere doing a proper, traditional fish & chips, and nowhere doing fresh falafel either.

When the right shop came up, it felt like the perfect spot — a few doors along from where we already work, on a street we know well. So rather than pick one, we decided to do both, and do them properly. That’s Sea & Seeds: one counter, two sides, no compromise.

The two sides

One counter, two very good ideas

Sea

The fish & chips

The chippy you’d hope for. Fish battered to order and fried in clean oil, hand-cut chips double-fried until golden, and all the classics alongside. Crisp, hot and properly done — the way fish & chips should be.

The falafel

Our falafel was inspired by Garbanzos in Canary Wharf, back in 2010 — a little place that stuck with us. We make ours fresh and fry it crisp, then load it into pitas, wraps and bowls with hummus, salads and tahini. Plant-led, fresh, and a long way from an afterthought.

What we stand for

Three things we won’t budge on

Battered to order

Nothing sits under a heat lamp going soft. Your fish hits the batter and the oil when you order it — crisp shell, flaky middle, served proper.

Made fresh

Falafel, hummus and salads made fresh on the day. Chips hand-cut and double-fried. No shortcuts on the bits that matter.

Two cravings, one order

Someone wants cod and chips, someone wants a falafel wrap. Now nobody has to compromise — it all comes from one counter.

Meet the team

Behind the counter

We’re a small team who genuinely care about getting your order right. You’ll find us wrapping fish fresh from the fryer, loading falafel with salad, and keeping both sides moving from one counter.
